This apartment building is such a headache. You will regret moving in every time you have to deal with the Thames Point Leasing Manager, Kristen Foster, or Maryland Management Company.

We have lived here for 2 years, and I cannot wait until our lease is up so that we can LEAVE.

Our apartment was not ready the day we moved in. The toilet, stove and sinks were sitting in the middle of the room the day our moving truck arrived. There was no refrigerator. We had given a month's notice to Ms. Foster that we would be moving in on that date, but they still couldn't have it ready for us. Of course, once we had paid and moved in, it took 3 months to get everything installed.

The leasing office is rarely open at the times posted. If your packages are delivered, they are then trapped inside the office. If you work from 8-5 like most people, the only time you can pick them up is on Saturday, IF the office is open, and IF you are not out of town, as may happen, you might have to wait weeks to get your packages!

The parking regulations are horrific. They will tow your car at a moments notice for the slightest infraction, which will cost you $240 CASH to retrieve.

Maryland Management Company is a mysterious entity whose "company policy" prohibits anyone working for them to divulge the name of the property manager. Therefore, it is impossible to speak to a decision-maker to resolve complaints. The leasing manager, Ms. Foster, and resident services are gatekeepers who will argue with you rather than attempt to address your complaint. Maryland Management makes blanket decisions not to reimburse residents for improper towing, yet it is impossible to dispute this with anyone. I wonder who is getting a cut of the cash here?

This apartment building is full of Hopkins students and young professionals--some who will be the future doctors of this country. Is this any way to treat residents? Maryland Management has ZERO customer focus.

Don't forget, if you want to leave your lease early, if you buy a house or if you just get fed up, you have to give one month's notice of your intent to leave--and you have to pay a fee equivalent to two months rent IN ADDITION to your regular rent for that month. That means you'd be paying THREE MONTHS rent in ONE month for the PRIVELEGE of leaving this place. How many of you out there can afford that?

Rent increases by over 10% per yearand it is already expensive to begin with. The street floods every time it rains, but the management company doesnt build up the barricade or repair the huge potholes on the portion of the street that THEY own. The walls are paper thinyou can hear everything your neighbors do and say.

I absolutely urge you all NOT TO LIVE HERE. There are plenty of rowhomes for rent by individuals in Fells Point--they would be less expensive and less hassle, and the owners would certainly have more customer service. Heck, an armadillo would have more customer service than these jerks.
