Apartment Review for Mallow Hill Apartments - Baltimore, MD

I lived here in 2007-2009 and was finally able to leave. The complex was secluded and quiet for the most part. My biggest problem was that I am terrified of mice. I know they can't hurt me, for the most part, but they are unsanitary and a health risk to say the least. I am originally from PG County and I have never had any issues with rodents in my previous apartments so I was confused by the acceptance of the rodent problem from the office staff. It seems mice are a common issue in Baltimore so they did not seem to understand my urgency when I first suspected them in my place. I am a clean and neat person so when I noticed droppings during my nightly sweeping of the kitchen I was horrified. Upon further inspection there were lots of possible entries into my apartment...the biggest being the crack between the floor and the floor mould (who would have knew). Needless to say they were not able to close all possible entries and I was not comfortable in my own house so the first opportunity I had to leave I did. The area, like I said, is ideal and the appearance from the outside is nice. The apt did not look like the model which is really the only reason I took the apt. I specifically asked was the apt going to look just like this, with the country cabinets and all...I was told yes. I was lied to. The cabinets and were the regular old cabinets and the stove had to have dated back to 1950 (I am not exaggerating). Anyways if you can deal with the mice (doesn't matter how clean your place is they will get in through one of the many holes and cracks in the old apts) just make sure you see the actual apt before you sign the papers. I had to learn the hard way.
