Apartment Review for Meadow Lane Apartments - Baltimore, MD

These apartments really suck. They are tiny, infested with rats and roaches, and very poorly managed. Their rules are unfair, and include no riding bikes, no playing ball, no dogs in the front yard, and everything outside will be thrown away when least expected. There is a lot of crime here. A murder or a robbery occurs once every month or two, and there was at least one case of rape in 2006. The paint on the wall has lead in it, and constantly peels off, even after it has been repainted. The roof above the bathtub is unstable, and often collapses. Whenever you look into the bathroom of a vacant apartment, you see that the bathroom ceiling is in the bathtub. Often, pipes are also visible. The windows aren't properly sealed, and the heater often fails, so at any given moment, you are either too hot, or too cold. The walls are thin, and the door can easily be broken into, and you can hear someone walk up the stairs, or talking about something in a neighboring apartment, or playing outside, as if they were right next to you. There are kids outside until midnight, and in the afternoon hours, you can never get rid of the sound of obnoxious kids. The rental office staff is extremely rude (don't trust their smiles), and they take an awfully long time to fix something. They never clean up the dog poop, so in the backyard (the only place where dogs are allowed), there is at least one pile of sh*t every square yard. They never clean up parking lots after it snows, so you are left to park in a messy pile of slush, if you are lucky enough to even get a parking space. The rent is an outrageous $695, and they tried to raise it to $730, which was met with so much protest, that they never got another chance to raise the rent. It is even better than living in a dumpster, and should be worthless. Whatever you do, DO NOT RENT THESE APARTMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
