Rental Advice & Tips - The Zenith "Luxury" Apartments Rental Advice & Tips - The Zenith "Luxury" Apartments The Zenith is the huge glass building directly across from Camden Yards. The views form the building are the only nice elements that exist in and around this building, and I feel it's important to put this out there. I searched many review websites, but found nothing on the Zenith, and I really feel this needs to be made public. This building is terrible, the apartments are terrible, and so is the office staff. We signed a 9 month lease, and only stayed six due to: toilets breaking, closet systems falling out of the wall, a leaky dishwasher that ruined objects we had stored under the sink, a ceramic soapdish (holding nothing! nothing was on it!) falling out of the wall, and a near chemical poisoning that happened when the huge gash the soapdish left was repaired. The repair contractors left a coating of dust and didn't ventilate properly when they repaired the bathroom - so our entire apartment had a sickening, headache inducing smell - we had to stay at the nearby Hilton Hotel. The textiles - towels, bathroom rugs, and blankets that had dust blown on them - all had to be drycleaned. The office staff really seems to be more into planning their social gatherings at local restaurants, holiday parties, anything except work, really, instead of helping their tenants. One of the girls was so painfully disorganized, she would call us at all times of the day and night asking if we had parking passes, garage door openers, paid for this and that (we sometimes never had the objects she'd ask about, and we had always already paid for whatever she was calling about) - it was like we had a part time job in the leasing office because of the amount of incompetence. The only plus is the great location - you can walk to sporting events, the harbor, anything you desire in Baltimore. So if you can put up with a terrible construction job, and an inept leasing office, you'll be ok. It's a shame, the Zenith looks beautiful, but it is a mess. It's managed by Bozzuto, and I must say they were nice and helped us with the issues once we bypassed the office staff. It just never should have had to get to that level. The maintenance staff was also great, but to have had to use them so much was just sad - the building wasn't even 2 years old when we lived in it. Look elsewhere for luxury living in Baltimore!
